Laughter

Kerry Beck No Comments

I love laughter!

After we ate our semi-Passover meal, we sat around the table and laughed.  It didn’t really matter what we were laughing about…we were enjoying each other and laughing with each other.

Aren’t casual family times wonderful?

Is Your Child Ready?

I interrupt our Easter week celebration to bring you the announcement I promised on Monday.

——————————-

On Monday I told you I had an announcement about a new course Steve & I will release in a couple of weeks. Today’s the day for my announcement.
How to Write an Ebook

Over the past few years we discovered that many of our readers are looking for ways to get more control and freedom over their lives. At the same time, they desperately want to prepare their children for the real world by homeschooling. We are connecting both of those ideas into our new course.

Just what do I mean?

Steve pulled together a course that you can use as a homeschool elective. While you and your children work through the course, you will discover ways to gain control over your lives and gain more freedom in your day-to-day activities - with Real Life Skills. Over time, you and your children can easily start to see “passive income” that rolls in while you enjoy more time with your family & friends.

We’ve been using these concepts in our homeschool and with our family the past 4 years. Here’s what’s really cool:

=======================================
1. Our kids are learning real life skills: writing articles, writing books, balancing checkbooks, creating websites, making videos, solving customer concerns and much more.

2. While we are skiing, snowmobiling, scrapbooking, cooking, or watching our kids’ basketball/football/softball game, we are making money…and we aren’t even in our home office.
=======================================

With it all, our kids are learning there is a balance in life. There is a time to work hard applying the skills God has given them. There is also a time to play hard and have fun with your family & friends while still earning an income..

How is this possible?

When you or your children write an ebook and put it online to sell, you begin to create passive income. Passive income is money that comes in whether or not you go to work. In our homeschool, this concept is a “Required Course”.

========================================
How can you learn more about preparing your children for the real world?

How can you teach real life skills to your children?
========================================

Steve created some videos to show you exactly what we do, how we do it and how to avoid the mistakes we made along the way. The top video tells our story. If you scroll down there are 2 more videos that will give you tons of strategies to get started.

This is fre.e information for you to use now. Don’t wait go here right now:

Easter - Q & A Notebook

Holiday, Homeschooling, Love of Learning, Notebooking, Scrapbooking, Stamping No Comments

This would be a fun activity for Easter.  You can use questions about the events of Passion Week.  Each year, you can pull it out and use it during your Easter celebration.

Use this Flip book as a model for Q & A for your child’s studies. Write the question on the outside of the flip and the answer behind the flip page. Change the colors to suit your child and the topic of the book.

This will take some time & patience as you follow these directions from Splitcoaststampers

Resurrection Eggs

Holiday, Inspire You Children No Comments

When our children were about 6 years old, they made an egg carton of Resurrection Eggs.  Each item in the plastic egg told part of the Resurrection Story.  It can be a great learning tool for children or be used as a tool to share the Gospel.

Here are some suggestions of what to include in the eggs.

1. (Bread) Matthew 26:26
While they were eating Jesus took a piece of bread,
gave a prayer of thanks, broke it, and gave it to His disciples.
“Take and eat it,” He said, “This is My body.”

2. (Coins) Matthew 26: 14-15
Then  one of the twelve disciples, named Judas Iscariot, went to
the chief priests and asked, “What will you give me if I betray
Jesus to you?”  They counted out thirty silver coins and gave
them to him.

3.  (Purple cloth, representing a purple robe) Mark 15:17
They put a purple robe on Jesus. . .

4.  (Thorns) Matthew 27:29
Then they made a crown out of thorny branches and placed it on
His head, and put a stick on His right hand; then they knelt
before Him and made fun of Him.  “Long live the King, of the
Jews!” they said.

5. (Scourge-a small piece of rope or thick string)  Mark 15:15
Pilate wanted to please the crowd, so he set Barabbas free for
them.  Then he had Jesus whipped and handed Him over to be
crucified.

6.  (Cross) John 19: 17-18a
He went out, carrying His cross, and came to “The Place of the
Skull,” as it is called.  (In Hebrew it is called “Galgotha.”) There
they crucified Him.

7.  (Nails) John 20:25b
Thomas said to them, “Unless I see the scars of the nails in His
hands and put my finger on those scars and my hand in His
side, I will not believe.”

8.  (Sign) Luke 23:38
Above Him were written these words:  THIS IS THE KING OF
THE JEWS.

9.  (Sponge) Matthew 27:48
One of them ran up at once, took a sponge, soaked it in cheap
wine, put it on the end of a stick, and tried to make Him drink it.

10.  (Spear) John 19:34
One of the soldiers plunged his spear into Jesus’ side, and at
once blood and water poured out.

11.  (Rock) Matthew 27:59-60
Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a new linen sheet, and
placed it in his own new tomb, which he had just recently dug
out of solid rock.  Then he rolled a large stone across the
entrance to the tomb and went away.

12.  (Empty) Matthew 28:6
He is not here He has risen just as He said.
