What did you have for Valentine’s dinner? We had stuffed filet (with bleu cheese) and roasted potatoes (with walnuts, garlic & green onions) and heart-shaped biscuits. Gentry made the biscuits while I worked on the rest of dinner.

I told you yesterday I had something special to tell you on Tuesday. Well, that’s today!
February is a special month to me for many reasons…
–It’s my daughter’s 18th birthday
–It’s my birthday (I shouldn’t tell you which one)
–It’s my sister’s birthday
–It’s my best friend from high school’s birthday
–It’s Valentine’s Day
But most of all…it’s the month I got engaged to my dear sweetie…23 years ago!!

More snow has fallen in Moscow, Idaho since 1993…at least that’s what we were told. Here’s our backyard after the snow last night. Notice how high the snow is compared to our backyard fence and the chairs. It just kept falling & falling!

Tomorrow, Feb 7th is Chinese New Year. Take a minute to plan a special meal with your family
Spend the day as a break from traditional school and study China. Use the internet or go to the library to discover the Chinese culture. Your kids will love a break and learn at the same time. Who knows??? They might be inspired to learn more about Chinese history or the Great Wall of China.
