Writing An Ebook Is As Easy As Talking To A Friend

For a long time, I resisted writing ebooks. After all, why
write a $27 ebook, when you can create a $447 multi-media
home study course? Why risk losing the big sale when by
offering an inexpensive ebook? Then I learned the secrets
to become an ebook millionaire.

Let me give you several reasons and then I will show you an
easy and cheap way to make ebooks that doesn’t require
writing at all! First, an ebook provides a low cost way for
a prospective customer to get to know you. Many people would
rather spend $27 to see if you are legit, before spending
$447 and risk getting burned. An ebook gives them an
opportunity to test the waters first. If they are
comfortable, then they will be willing to risk more.

Second, an ebook allows you to reach a broader market. Let’s
be honest. You only have so many names on your email list
and there are tons of people who want to become your
customers; they just don’t know it yet! Huge home study
courses usually require complicated affiliate programs and
thus, this reduces the number of people who will help you
market your course.

Ebooks, on the other hand, are very portable and using a
company like ClickBank allows thousands of people you have
never met to promote your ebook for you. Think of your
ebooks as little ambassadors, reaching people you can not
physically send a message to.

Ebooks also lead to bigger products, such as your $447 home
study course. If they liked your ebook, then they will love
your home study course that has step-by-step videos instead
of just screen shots in a pdf file. And they will certainly
love your three day workshop where you go beyond the step-
by-step videos and actually show them in real time how to do
whatever it is your ebook is teaching.

So what is the bad news? Who wants to sit down and grind out
an ebook? Not me! So, I talk my way through an ebook. It’s
the easiest way to write and market an ebook. I schedule a
free teleseminar, invite interested people to the
teleseminar, have them send questions in advance and then
record the teleseminar. I then have the recording
transcribed, lightly edit the transcription and convert the
whole thing to a pdf file.

I then list it on ClickBank, send out a few emails and in
rolls the money! ClickBank takes care of the affiliates,
processing the order and sends me a check every month. It is
really that easy!

So now I am “killing two birds with one stone”. I am
assessing demand before I pour a ton of time and energy into
a huge home study course. If the ebook doesn’t sell well, I
know the home study course won’t sell well either. I am also
generating a positive cash flow to help fund my home study
course. And I am gathering customers from all around the
globe through the hundreds of thousands of ClickBank
affiliates who will want to promote my ebook. Make that
three birds instead of two!

So, pick a topic and schedule a free teleseminar today. You
will be creating a foundational product for your information
empire and be on your way to become an ebook
millionaire.

Taking a Family Break

Filed under: Kerry Beck — Kerry @ 8:53 pm

On Friday, we took a wonderful break about an hour from our home. We spent the afternoon snowmobiling through the national forest. We didn’t have to stay with a tour, so we could just go where we wanted. It was a blast. Here are a few pictures:

Good Works

Filed under: Raising Leaders, Moms, Bible — Kerry @ 6:05 am

Over & over this year (2007), God reminds me of the need to do good works. I am finishing our study of Hebrews 10 with my kids. Yesterday we continued to discuss good works we could do for others. As I read through Paul’s epistles, good works are often mentioned and exhorted to the readers.

Today I was reading the following:

Remind them to be subject to rulers & authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work

This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good & profitable to men.

And let our people also learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, that they may not be unfruitful.
Titus 3:1, 8, 14

Do you perform good works for your family?
Do you do good works for others in your church?
Do you show good works to those outside the church?
Does your schedule allow you to meet the urgent needs of others? Can you drop what you are doing to minister in an emergency?

These are questions I am asking myself, as I evaluate my daily and weekly schedule. I have some ideas of creative good works I can do with my kids. When we return from our FamilyEbiz Expo in Texas next week, I’ll share what we are doing!

Kerry

ps. Remember that true leaders show good works to those around them. They don’t just rule and order those below them. Are you teaching your future leader how to maintain good works?

Hilarious & Purposeful Writing Activity

Filed under: Raising Leaders, Homeschooling, Writing — Kerry @ 6:09 am

Yesterday my kids read aloud their introductions to an essay. They had to write 8 different introductions, using a specific type of intro. The topic was chosen for them. We had a blast, enjoying & laughing about the intros. As we read & laughed, my kids really learned different methods to introducing an essay.

You may be asking, “Are you using a curriculum? Why did you have them practice 8 different intros for the same topic?”. I’ve been following The Elegant Essay, by Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW). It is a terrific book about well-written essays, perfect for junior or senior high students.

I caught myself laughing and then restating the concept we were discussing.

Do you have FUN as you teach writing?

Did You Ask This?

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I have a really cool Valentine Contest for you to enter. More on that in a bit.

We returned from an awesome trip to Texas last week. In case you didn’t hear, we offered Family Business workshops in Houston, Austin & San Antonio. I’ll be posting pictures later this week…once I get help posting digital pics.
I also learned about a classical homeschool conference near Houston. It’s also listed here on my blog!

Then, it was back to reality . . . housework, homeschool & work-work. I had a really cool interview last Thursday, by a really cool guy (my hubby, Steve). We talked about ways to use eBay to teach your children entrepreneurials skills and to make an extra income in your home. I had so much fun sharing what I’ve learned.

Since that interview, many of you have emailed questions about eBay and our upcoming FamilyEbiz Expo in San Antonio (a really FUN place). Let me share a few answers to the questions we keep getting every day. Then, I’ll share some terrific Valentine ideas & a Valentine contest for you to win a $20 gift certificate.

Question 1: When will you have another live seminar like the FamilyEbiz Expo?

At this time, I don’t know. I’m not trying to evade the question, but I really don’t know if & when we will do another live seminar. The current FamilyEbiz Expo has taken a lot of time to prepare & plan…time away from my family so you can learn some of the ways we have been successful online.

The soonest we would do another live seminar is next year, 2008. I’ll keep you posted on what we decide.

Question 2: Is the FamilyEbiz Expo worth the money, especially for my teen’s education?

To answer this question, I have to know a little bit about you and whether or not you will implement what you learn. If you’re the type that gets a kick-in-the-pants from all you learn and starts working the day you get home…YES! The Expo is definitely worth every penny you spend.

If you bring your teenager (which I think is the perfect way to attend the Expo), your teen should go home with tons of ideas to implement. But, be careful! Most teenagers still need guidance, support and encouragement from you to follow through with an online business. I do believe the tuition to bring your teen is an excellent way to gain business credit in your homeschool!

That said, you must realize that you will not learn e verything there is to know about an internet business in 2 days. That’s impossible. Why? Hey…I’m always learning new concepts about our internet businesses. I love learning new ideas and techniques that I can use to help my customers like you. I even expect to learn a new tip or two at the FamilyEbiz Expo on Feb 23-24, 2007 in San Antonio.

You can get free preview calls and learn all about the FamilyEbiz Expo here: Internet Marketing Seminar.

Now, on to Valentines and my really cool Valentine’s Contest (win a $20 gift certificate)

Valentine Idea for Boys

Filed under: Raising Leaders, Homeschooling, Holiday — Kerry @ 9:02 pm

THIS IS SO COOL!!!

Another mom on Homeschooling Boys shared this and I plan to have Hunter make some paper airplane Valentines tomorrow.

—————————–

We make fighter jet valentines. They are so fun to make and big hit!

Fold a piece of paper into an airplane shape. Write the “to and from” part on the wings and decorate with markers. I wouldn’t add stickers as it may make the wings a bit off balance.

Stick a piece of gum (like Wrigley’s) inside the main fold. If it is inserted correctly, the gum should ‘fly’ out when the airplane is thrown.

If the plane doesn’t fly well, look at straight on from the nose. Bend the wings so they are horizontal. If one or both is at an angle, it may
fly funny.

Here’s a website for folding some paper airplanes:

Valentine Ideas, Crafts, Recipes & Fun for Mom

Only one more day until Valentine’s Day. We spent yesterday afternoon making Valentine cards. It was so much fun sitting with my daughters, talking and laughing!

Here are some FANTASTIC sites with cool ideas for you & your kids.

LOTS of fun from Martha Stewart Valentine I had lots of fun on this site today. I even watched Martha make her own heart-shaped Valentine box…pretty cool! See the recipes, crafts and card ideas!

At dinner, my middle daughter told us she couldn’t believe people still listened to Martha Stewart. She goes to prison, lives on her compound and still makes money. Steve proceeded to try and explain passive income…money you make even when you don’t work. There’s always an entrepreneurial lesson in our conversation.
