New Zealand Unit Study
The Old Schoolhouse magazine asked Terri to write a new column for their publication called the International Schoolhouse.  In the article, she had the chance to share about the landscape, the history and the culture of the highlighted country, in this case New Zealand.  However, there is so much to tell that simply overflows a 1500 word article that she decided to compile the remainder of the information as a unit study for you.

NFL PLAYOFFS
Find all the wild card teams and label them on a US map in the same color.  Find all the playoff teams and label them on the map
in a different color. Find Miami and label it as Super Bowl.

Language Arts - Alphabetize all NFL teams by city and by mascot.
Math - Graph each Super Bowl champion team and the number of times they have won the Super Bowl.
Math - Graph the point spread for each Super Bowl (difference between points of winner and loser)
Math - Determine the average points scored by all winning teams.
Art - Draw a new logo for one of the NFL teams.
History & Writing - Choose a famous football player from a past Super Bowl.  Write a report about his life and achievements.

Love of Learning 

Next week we will be making a whirlwind trip to Texas for our Free Family Business Workshops.  I wish we had time to visit our old friends, but we can’t.  If you get a chance, come to one of our workshops (Houston, Austin, San Antonio) early or stay late.  I would love to visit!
